A couple of guys at completely different times of my life on two different continents made a remark how they would really like to feel what it was like to walk in my shoes (with 4 inch heels?), even if it were for a day. I am not sure whether this was due to their perception of my ‘glamorous’ lifestyle or just because they felt the need for some roller coaster type excitement, but the idea of a blog came out of it.

I have spent a great deal of my life moving around and have lived on three continents. If you want to play “Pin the Spots on the Map” game, this is the list: Zagreb, London, Milano, Johannesburg, Istanbul and Bucks County. Travelling, exploring new cultures, and meeting new people is an essential part of who I am. It is my hope to share those travel nuggets with you.

On the way I picked up a husband and dropped a husband. We haven’t signed any formal papers that would legally uncouple us, but have been working on it since 2005. My intention is to write about this life altering experience and hear from others who have been through it.

There are three men in my life whom I love unconditionally, Mr. Responsible, Mr. Daredevil and Mr. Thinker. They bring a smile to my face even as I am writing this down. We have an incredibly warm and close mother-son relationship.

I have a keen interest in art in all of its forms. Like in life, I celebrate variety and am curious to experiment with different styles. I see no reason why a person should slot her taste in categories. Visiting the Met one day and going to the rock concert the next are all part of the life’s rich tapestry. I am an avid reader and my favorite writers are Isabel Allende, Pauolo Coelho, Milan Kundera, Khalil Gibran to name a few.

It will become transparent through my blog that tennis plays a significant role in my life. I have not tackled any double black runs or slopes of any incline for that matter in the past two seasons, but am hoping that this will be remedied soon.

The only thing I know for sure is that nothing is certain and everything is unpredictable. Yet, I always feel that somehow I will learn something from each experience and grow as a person.
